It’s that time of year again! St. Patrick’s Day is not just for the Irish in Jersey City. Everyone can join in the fun by wearing green and getting ready for a good Irish time. This year, check out New Jersey’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade schedule to decide where and when to celebrate.

Family-Friendly Events
First, check out the Jersey City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Sunday, March 12 at 12:30. The parade begins at Lincoln Park and Kennedy Boulevard. Join in one of Jersey City’s greatest traditions as new friends meet and old friends reconnect. There is also an Irish Mass at St. Aedan’s Church that morning at 9:30.
Next, check out the Belmar/Lake Como St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Sunday, March 5 stepping off from the north end of Main St. in Lake Como at 12:30 p.m. The more enthusiastic partygoers will be around 16th Ave. and 10th Ave. However this is a family-friendly parade with lots of great places to watch.
Or, stay closer to home and bring the family to the Ocean County St. Patrick’s Day Parade, also on Saturday March 11. This parade in Seaside Heights begins at 12:00 p.m. and features music and dancing along with representation from many Irish cultural groups.
Think the fun ends after March 17? Think again! Attend the Highland’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday March 18 at 2:00 p.m. From bagpipers to Irish Dancers to marching bands, this parade has something for everyone. The parade begins at Huddy Park and goes one mile along Bay Ave. This event is sure to be a kid-pleaser, with float riders tossing out tons of free giveaways.
For the Serious Green Beer Drinkers
If you hired a babysitter for the day, check out the annual LepreCon St. Patty’s Celebration in Hoboken. Saturday, March 4 beginning at 9am. Enjoy a variety of venues who will showcase their finest in Irish food and, of course, the best Irish beer. This pub crawl can get pretty exciting so wear your green and don’t forget to hydrate!
You could take a short road trip to Atlantic City for their annual parade. On Saturday March 11, enjoy the ocean breeze while watching this New Jersey tradition. The festivities begin at 1pm just north of the Garden Pier and the Boardwalk.
Then on Sunday, March 12, visit the 4th annual Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade steps off at 1:00 p.m. at 5th Ave. and Ocean Ave. This event features traditional Irish music, colorful floats and antique cars. Enjoy the famous bar and food scene of Asbury Park afterwards.
