Hudson Valley, NY (1.5 hours drive) – Under two hours away from Jersey City, the Hudson Valley offers much for travellers who want to escape for a while. Choose from one of many small towns featuring inns or cozy hotels, and build your long weekend itinerary. In destinations such as Hyde Park, Goshen or Red Hook you’ll find plenty to do. Ocean City, MD (4.5 hours drive) – A bit of a further drive brings you to Ocean City, Maryland. This resort town famous for its boardwalk has something for everyone in your family. Feast on crab cakes at one of the locals’ favorites, the Crab Bag. Spend some time at Assateague State Park. This barrier island is famous for its wild ponies and beautiful views. A visit to the city’s historic landmarks is a must. While you’re in Old City, enjoy some of the best shopping and dining around.
