Pediatric CPR Class

The Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course is intended for anyone involved in childcare who has a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This audience includes, but is not limited to: childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches. It’s also ideal for: moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, babysitters, nannies, and guardians. In this course, one will learn some of the following:
· preventative measures for a child’s safety
· finding the problem
· to learn the difference between infant CPR and child CPR
· how to recognize if your child needs CPR
· how to properly administer an Epi-Pen
· how to use an AED
· how to recognize if a child is choking
· how to clear a child’s airway if he or she is choking
Upon completion, students will receive a comprehensive student handbook and wallet cards.

Classes are taught by Jason Mundy from NY Metro CPR. Liberty Harbor Residents and JC Bump and Baby Parents get priority rsvp, however this event is open to the general Jersey City public.
